Indian Riveride Park
So, what’ this kid-friendly day in Jensen all about? Well, it’ a day at Indian Riverside Park. This free Jensen gem is no secret to local families. If you haven’t scooped up the kiddos and headed to Indian Riverside Park yet, you’re missing out on an all-in-one, fun day.
The beautiful park has 63 acres of pure family fun hugged by the gorgeous Indian River Lagoon—yep, it’s the waterfront escape we all need. Whether you’re chasing little ones or just craving some sunshine, this park’s got your back.
Interactive Play Fountain
First off, the free interactive play fountain is a game-changer. It’s open daily from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., and trust me, your kids will be entertained for at least a couple hours as they splash around in those water jets. Pack some towels and sunscreen and you’re all set to go.
Beach on the Lagoon
Then there’s the
little beach area—shallow waters, and a shady tree for when you need a breather. Perfect for sandcastles or dipping tiny toes while you enjoy that Pub Sub. We love the “huge sandbar” that we get with lower tides. Check the water quality and head on out.If you get here early, you may be the first one under the shade tree- otherwise, bring an umbrella.
The Boardwalk
Wanna stretch those legs? The ¾-mile walking path and mangrove boardwalk are calling your name. Stroll around the pond, peek at the water birds (hello, photo ops!), and soak in those river views—especially at sunrise if you’re an early bird.
The 780-foot fishing pier is a hit too—whether you’re casting a line or just watching the sunset, it’s pure Treasure Coast magic.
Bonus: picnic pavilions mean you can pack a lunch and make a day of it!
This is a great museum with a lot of interactive exhibits. We recommend spending some time here while your beach or splash gear is still in the car.
Once the kids are all sensory loaded, they can decompress in the water. The outdoor section of the museum overlooks the lagoon and splash pad so it’s all pretty much tied together.
I’ll let you in on a little secret, If you go to the museum on the first full weekend of the month- Bank of America card holders get in free. Two adults with 2 cards? Both free.
Picnic Space
Another perk to a day well spent with kids in Jensen Beach Florida at this park, is all of the grassy areas. You can easily post up a spot for a picnic, or snag one of the pavilions that aren’t being rented for parties. If you do want to book a party here, pavilions are $180 to rent.
Indian Riverside Park is also well-maintained and offers a community center and two sets of restrooms.

Don’t want to bring lunch? We recommend a kid-friendly restaurant just a few short miles away- The Catch Neighborhood Bar and Grill. They have a designated kids zone, offer kids toys with the menus, and the food Is great. Pictured Is just one area of the many games this restaurant has.

The first Sunday of each month, you can hang at the historical mansion for free.
“Music at the Mansion” is a free concert series held at the Mansion at Tuckahoe amphitheater in Indian Riverside Park, 1707 NE Indian River Drive.
It’s a Martin County Parks and Recreation gem, featuring live bands with waterfront views, food vendors, and kid-friendly activities—no coolers allowed, but admission’s free! The series typically runs from late fall to spring, dodging the summer heat and hurricane season.
