From nature adventures to indoor amusement, there is no shortage of fun, in fact, 50 fun things to do with kids in Palm Beach County.
As a Palm Beach County native, I knew both locals and visitors needed a one-stop list for all of the best kid activities in the Palm Beaches.
This post will list some of the best year-round attractions, in order of South to North Palm Beach County.

Boca Raton With Kids
I grew up in Boca Raton, so I know the area very well, but when I became a mom, I had to re-explore things to do for little ones. Luckily, Boca Raton has plenty of kid-friendly things to do.
Boomers
This indoor/outdoor recreation facility has Go Karts, bumper boats and cars, miniature golf, lazer tag, batting cages and an arcade to win prizes. They do parties and walk-ins. So fun!
Boca Ice
Great spot for public ice skating and ice bumper cars! The bumper cars are a lot of fun and you can play a laser tag game with neon lights and music. Bundle up, it’s cold!
Coconut Cove Waterpark
This awesome water park is in west Boca. It’s the perfect addition to the area when you need to cool off in the lazy river, or enjoy the thrill rides and splash pad.
Gumbo Limbo
This nature center is a sea-turtle rehabilitation center and fun place to learn about sea turtles and other marine life. It’s right on the beach so you can take a short trail to the water, or spend the day at Red Reef Park and visit the Gumbo Limbo nature center after.
LaLa Land
Adorable indoor play space for little ones to climb and play safely
Patch Reef Park
This is a great park, playground and splash pad.
Sugar Sand Park
This 3-story park is huge. I think of it as a playground resort. It has lot’s of shaded areas, picnic areas for parties, and climbing structures. It has a small water feature, rubber flooring, and plenty to do. It’s fun for all ages but will be hard to keep kids in sight if you’re outnumbered.
Mizner Park
Outdoor shopping and restaurants in a beautiful plaza in east Boca. There are so many good places to eat here. There is also an iPIC movie theatre, bowling alley, candy/ice cream shops, and an outdoor amphitheater with events. Taking a stroll around this beautiful plaza is a great way to spend an afternoon.
Town Center Mall
I love this mall, plus the mall is always a great option for strolling around and staying out of the heat. This mall is gorgeous and has many great restaurants. They also have a Childrens play area in front of Crate & Barrel. Some kid friendly stores are here too, like Lego, Claire’s and more.
Family Fun in Delray Beach
Delray Beach is just north of Boca Raton, and is full of happenings for families. I love the livelihood of Atlantic Ave, and some of the other family activities in Delray.
Atlantic Avenue
This downtown area is one of my favorite downtowns in South Florida, and where some fantastic restaurants are! All of the action happens for Delray’s nightlife here. You can expect bars, restaurants, clubs, and live music.
But I had to add this to 50 things to do with kids in Palm Beach County because during the day, this is a great area for shopping, dining, and exploring the beautiful lifestyle of Delray Beach.
The Green market is held Saturday mornings and the Beach is just down the Ave to the east, so you can plan your day to include a nice stroll on the boardwalk.
There is also a nature trail at Atlantic Dunes Park.
The Bunny Hive
Adorable indoor play space for kids with special activities and space to climb, role play, and explore.
The Girls Strawberry Patch
The Girls is an animal garden with all kinds of animals that you can walk through and feed. Bonus-The pathway is very well shaded. You can even hold baby bunnies. This place is great and also has an old-fashioned ice-cream parlor and is attached to Bambini’s pizzeria. Enjoy your meal in a retro diner-themed eatery after playing outside.

Candy Wonderland
Located in the same plaza at The Girls above, this indoor playground is so cute and fun! It’s an easy itinerary idea to do both in one day.
Sandoway Discovery
This adorable nature center has animal exhibits, shark tanks with shark and sting ray feedings, nature trails, and an ocean-view observation deck.
Silverball Pinball Museum
Eat and play at this retro arcade! This is such a fun atmosphere for kids of age to play arcade games! Kids under 4 years old are free. All games are included with admission, no coins needed. They do have happy hour here and live music.
Putt’N Around
18 or 36 hole mini golf courses! They serve food and deliver snacks and drinks to you on the course as well.
Boynton Beach With Kids
Boynton Beach is the next city north of Delray Beach. This area has really grown and now is booming with things to do for families.
Animal EDventure
Meet, learn about and take pictures with amazing animals, like sloths & kangaroos! This is a 1 hour guided walking tour on a private farm on Thursdays through Sundays. Included is feed for Llamas, Alpacas, Goats, Sheep, Donkeys, and Cows. All Encounters Include Petting & Pictures.
Bedners Farm
Bedners Farm, located in West Boynton, is a must-do if it’s not too hot out. They offer interactive activities and seasonal U-Pick fruit such as strawberries and other produce. This farm is a local favorite for every season, but is very popular around fall time when their pumpkins are out.
The above-mentioned animal safari actually has some of their farm animals here as a petting zoo on the weekends.
The farmers market has so many great items for purchase. Don’t confuse their farm and their produce market in Delray Beach. Both are great, but the actual farm is in West Boynton.
Schoolhouse Children’s Museum
Located on Ocean Ave and open Tuesday through Saturday, kids can play at this 2-story indoor play museum with areas for role playing. It has a general store, post office, etc. plus farmhouse play, train station, and more. Reservations are strongly encouraged.

Lake Worth & Lantana Kid Activities
You’ll find some good spots here, just north of Boynton, that I recommend for families.
Bicentennial Park
Looking for a nice park day on the water? This park/playground is located on the intracoastal so you can expect a bit more of a breeze! We like this park for the views and there is a lot of picnic space! The downside is the playground is not shaded. Let’s step it up Lantana!
They also do events here because there is an amphitheater. We went for Fourth of July one year and had a great time with amazing views of the fireworks.
Fun Depot
This is a large play space for the gamer! They have an arcade with prizes, bowling alley and restaurant, Go-Karts and laser tag.
Things to do with kids in West Palm Beach
West Palm Beach is the next city north of Lake Worth. West Palm Beach, the largest city by population, is a travel destination in South Florida for many families seeking the beauty of the East Coast.
Some of these suggestions aren’t exactly within the city limits of West Palm Beach, but they are very close.
Altitude Trampoline Park
With several other locations throughout the U.S, this awesome indoor space opened up at 4340 Okeechobee Blvd, West Palm Beach in 2025. It’s filled with unique exhibits and fun trampolines and obstacle courses
Cox Science Center
The Cox Science Center has exhibits that change, such as the dinosaur exhibits. The first time we went, there were giant dinosaurs on display everywhere-it was so cool, but the next year, the dinosaur exhibit was turned into a maze with activities.
It was less fun for us, but we still enjoyed some of the other exhibits, like the aquarium, planetarium, indoor playground area, and more. They have an entire space on discovering science, including anatomy, physics, etc. We even did the hurricane simulator which is fun.
There’s more to do outside, including a splash pad, mini-golf, and a dig pit. You can easily spend the day here.
Palm Beach Zoo
While small, this zoo is fun to meet animals, play in the splash pad, use the outdoor jungle gym to balance and climb, and ride the carousel.
Peanut Island
Peanut Island is a gorgeous island with crystal-clear water that is only accessible by boat. If you don’t have a boat, you can take the 10-minute Peanut Island Shuttle. This is a great idea for a fun day out because it’s a unique experience and given that it’s an island, the water has a shallow and calm shore.
Marriott Singer Island Resort
If you are looking for a kid-friendly resort, check this one out. We did a staycation here and had a great time at their lagoon pool with a slide and waterfall!
Manatee Lagoon Center
A must-do during manatee season which is November 15-March 31st. The 16,000-square-foot center is closed during other times of the year, but so worth it during the colder months where you’re likely to see manatees.
Rapids
The Rapids is the largest waterpark in Florida and it has tons of rides from thrilling rides to kiddie rides. Here is a full list of Splash Pads and Water Parks in Palm Beach County.
Lion Country Safari
Lion Country Safari is a must-do in Palm Beach with kids. This safari and zoo-like experience is really cool and you can read all about it here:Lion Country Safari Review-Is it worth it?
Things to do with Kids in Wellington
Wellington is a really nice area in west Palm Beach County. It’s not too far from Lion Country Safari. We don’t get here often because we live a lot further east, but there is plenty to do here with kids.
Calypso Bay Waterpark
Beat the heat at Calypso Bay Waterpark, located nearby in Royal Palm Beach. The lazy river is so relaxing!
Tiger Shark Cove Park
This is a really fun and well-designed playground in Wellington.
Panther Ridge Wildlife Sanctuary
Visit this amazing non-profit conservation center for big cats! It’s located in Loxahatchee, which is very close to Wellington. Take a tour of the outdoor facility and enjoy their exhibits. The downside is that there is not a lot of shade here, so be prepared for that!
Visit an indoor play center
Wondergarden
An adorable indoor play space for little kids to get out some energy!
Palm Beach Gardens
Head just north of West Palm, and you’ll stumble upon Palm Beach Gardens. Out of 50 things to do with kids in Palm Beach County, this area is one of my favorite areas for kids, and it’s not because it has more attractions for families, but because it’s quiet, clean, charming, and safe.
Alton Town Center
This is a nice outdoor oasis for dining, shopping, and getting involved in family-friendly activities. They often have lawn events like fitness, music for kids, and more. We love Lynora’s Italian restaurant.
If you drive from the town center to the playground, it’s not far. Just search the Alton playground and enjoy a really fun space to play that has shade, turf floor, and is fenced in!
Downtown Palm Beach Gardens
We love coming downtown to shop, grab a bite to eat, ride on the carousel, and use the interactive fountains. The lawn has frequent events and an amphitheater.
Palm Beach Gardens Recreation Pool and Splash Zone
I have to say this is my favorite local splash park. It’s so clean, affordable, and fun.
MacArthur Beach State Park
Looking for some outdoor fun in Palm beach County? Check out this state park for kayaking, canoeing, trails, a nature center, and small playground. This park is also a popular place for concerts and events because it has an amphitheater. There is also a secluded island that you can access by boat.
Jupiter With Kids
Jupiter is just a hop, skip and a jump north of Palm Beach Gardens. Now that we live even further north of Jupiter, we come here all the time, and we love it.
In fact, I’ve made an entire post dedicated to40 Kid-Friendly Things to do in Jupiter.
